Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 May 2026.
Glory (“Glory”, “we”, “us”) builds a Christian devotional mobile app and the website at glory.cc. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it.
Glory is operated as a personal project; we are not a corporation. You can reach us at gloryccapp@outlook.com.
1. Information we collect
Account information. If you create a Glory account we receive your email address and the sign-in identifier from your chosen provider (Apple, Google, or our email link). When you sign in with Apple or Google we may also receive the display name and profile photo you have set with that provider.
Device information. We collect a non-resettable device identifier (Android ID on Android, identifierForVendor on iOS) to enforce the per-device free trial and to prevent abuse. We may also log basic device metadata (model, OS version, app version) when diagnosing crashes.
Reading activity. Inside the app we record which Glimpses you have read, saved, or marked complete, and your reading progress within each item, so that your library and continue-reading state work across sessions and devices.
Audio playback. The app caches recently played audio on your device for offline use. The cached audio stays on your device and is cleared when you uninstall the app.
Subscription and trial records. When you start a trial, subscribe, or restore a purchase, we receive a token from Apple or Google identifying the purchase, along with timestamps and the device that triggered it. We do not receive your payment card or billing address.
Launch waitlist. If you sign up at glory.cc to be notified at launch, we store the email address you provide and your platform preference (iOS, Android, or both). We use this only to send a confirmation email and the launch announcement.
Support correspondence. If you email us, we keep the message so we can reply and track issues.
2. How we use it
- To create and authenticate your account.
- To sync your library, saved items, and reading progress.
- To deliver audio and video assets the app needs to play.
- To enforce your free trial fairly across devices and accounts.
- To send transactional emails: signup confirmation, password reset, and a one-time launch announcement.
- To diagnose crashes and improve quality. We do not run third-party advertising or marketing analytics.
3. Service providers we share with
Glory uses a small number of vendors to operate the service. Each receives only what they need to do their job:
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and object storage. They process account data and reading activity.
- Cloudflare — serves our website, the waitlist endpoint, and our authenticated media CDN at cdn.glory.cc.
- Apple and Google — if you sign in with their identity provider, or purchase a subscription through them, they process the parts of those flows that happen on their side.
- Zoho ZeptoMail — delivers our transactional emails (signup confirmation, password reset, launch announcement).
- Google Gemini — generates the devotional content you read in the app. We send the public-domain or licensed source book text to Gemini; we never send Gemini your personal data.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
4. Data retention
- Account data: kept while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of your deletion request (see below).
- Reading activity: kept while your account is active and deleted with the account.
- Waitlist email: kept until the launch announcement is sent, then removed within 90 days.
- Billing and tax records linked to a purchase: kept up to 7 years where applicable law requires.
- Security and abuse-prevention logs: kept up to 180 days.
5. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Access the data we hold about you (email us).
- Correct inaccurate data (in-app for profile data, by email for everything else).
- Delete your account and the personal data tied to it. See Delete your Glory account for the in-app path and the web-form path.
- Withdraw consent and stop using the service.
If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK, California, or another region with comparable privacy law, you have additional rights under those laws; contact us and we will honour them.
6. Children
Glory is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will remove the account.
7. Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS). Account credentials are managed by Supabase Auth. Audio and video assets are served from R2 through an authenticated worker that requires a valid session token.
8. Changes
We will update this page as the service evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top changes whenever we revise it. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
